In September 2019, Diana Crum will host Open Labs for the third time at CPR – Center for Performance Research.

Open Labs is a series of drop-in workshops/laboratories/studio sessions/rehearsals led by Diana Crum. Open to all, sessions will start with opportunities to wake up your physical range and strength. Participants can follow Crum’s directions or not. Following, Crum will introduce prompts, based on somatics and imagery, for improvisational exploration. Currently, her prompts explore the role, function, and associations we make with the heart. Everyone in the room must participate (i.e. collaborate and/or rebel) in some form. The nature and form of participation can vary. Responses can be movement, drawing, writing, making sound, etc.
The series is intended for individuals interested in practicing movement and/or creative research alongside others. All disciplines and experience levels are welcome.

Related events: public studio showings at CPR, Oct 3-4, 2019, featuring Crum, Emma Rose Brown, Rainey White.
