Live Performances

CPR’s Large Studio is available to individual artists and small companies for performances as part of the @CPR Performance Series.

The @CPR Performance Series is an extension of CPR’s Subsidized Space Rental Program, and provides independent artists and small dance and performance companies with collaborative support to produce and present their work, with affordable rates for space, production, and front of house support. The below rates go into effect for performances from January 2025.

RATES
The Performance Rate of $185/hour includes use of the Large Studio and Small Studio (for box office), (1) Production Coordinator, (1) Event Manager, and access to CPR’s rep lighting, sound, and projection equipment, booked at a 4-hour minimum. The additional tech-only rate in the Large Studio is $105/hour, which also includes (1) Production Coordinator. Additional fees apply for cleaning, ticketing/event listing, and tech materials.

Programs as part of the @CPR Performance Series also include online ticketing via Eventbrite, with 85% of net ticket sales paid to the artist, listing on CPR’s event calendar, and inclusion in CPR’s monthly e-newsletter with over 10,000 subscribers.

These rates are for independent artists and small non-profit companies with annual budgets under $250k. Different rates will apply for larger companies or commercial rentals. Please note that the above are base rates, while additional support may be needed depending on the scale and complexity of your performance, such as additional tech time, additional production staff, documentation, storage, or reconfiguration of CPR’s space.

CAPACITY
CPR can support a total capacity 73 people, which will include all artists, performers, company members, CPR staff, and audience. CPR’s seating riser system seats 68 people, with additional seating available depending on the layout of the production.

For an invited audience of more than 12 people, and for auditions, both the Large and Small Studio must be rented together along with hiring at CPR Event Manager, and visitors will enter through the Small Studio. Covid-19 Health and Safety

The health and safety of artists, visitors, and staff is CPR’s top priority.

CPR requests that:

  • If you have a fever or are feeling sick, please stay home, get tested, and take care!

  • If you develop symptoms and/or test positive for Covid-19 and have been at CPR within the last 5 days, that you inform us so we can help trace potential transmission.

  • You wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use hand sanitizer liberally.

  • You remain up-to-date with Covid-19 vaccination to help protect yourself and others, and in accordance with CDC guidelines.

CPR has taken additional health and safety measures in light of the Covid-19 pandemic:

  • Our HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) system brings in fresh air through Merv-13 filters, and the Large Studio, Small Studio, and CPR’s Offices are serviced by separate ducts and have constant airflow.

  • CPR hires regular professional cleaning services, and staff regularly cleans and disinfects studio floors, bathrooms, and common areas.

  • A 30-minute break is scheduled between rentals in each studio, to prevent overlapping between renters.

  • Artists entering CPR for rehearsals and public programs verify they do not have symptoms or have been exposed to Covid-19 on a daily check-in form.

VACCINATION AND MASKS
As of January 1, 2023, proof of full vaccination and vaccine booster is no longer required to enter CPR. As of July 1, 2023, masks are optional for all activities at CPR.

COVID-19 INFECTION, EXPOSURE, AND CANCELLATION
If you or someone in your group tests positive for and/or is exposed to Covid-19 within 10 days of your rental or program, you are required to inform CPR. Entry will be permitted once each individual meets the guidelines according to the CDC’s Isolation and Exposure Calculator, and presents a negative Covid test to CPR. Cancellation timelines vary for each rental contract, and will remain in effect even if someone tests positive for or is exposed to Covid-19 and does not clear the CDC calculator. Cancellation policies will only be altered in the event of a government-mandated closure. CPR will make all best efforts to help reschedule your rental.
