CPR – Center for Performance Research is thrilled to host a Studio Visit with Ayana Evans and Tsedaye Makonnen, as part of The Black Femme Artist Residency, curated by Douglas Everett Turner.
Turner will be in conversation with the artists live from their studio at The Wassaic Project, discussing their collaborative artistic practice, two-week performance residency, and multi-venue performance exhibition Which Bridges to Cross and Which to Burn.
The Black Femme Artist Residency, which takes place between May 18-29, 2021, is organized by Douglas Turner Projects, and was formed with support from The Wassaic Project (Wassaic, NY), Warner Theater (Torrington, CT), Standard Space gallery (Sharon, CT) and CPR – Center for Performance Research.
