Join VALLETO as they celabrate a decade of provocative and transformative dance with the grand finale of the Eternal Bonds trilogy. This landmark event not only commemorates their 10th year but also confronts the universal experience of grief through the lens of memory and joy, inviting audiences into a sacred space of communal healing and remembrance.

Eternal Bonds expands VALLETO’s ensemble to ten dancers, each embodying the threads of collective memory that define who we are. This performance intertwines the abstract theatricality of Eternal Bonds.1 with the intimate revelations of Eternal Bonds.2, delving into the profound depths of memory, the echoes of joy, and the shadows of grief. Through narratives that honor the memories of women lost to violence in Mexico and reflect on global injustices, this finale aims to transform grief into hope and mourning into celebration.

Expect a night of compelling dance that not only showcases the evolution of the company but also reflects their ongoing commitment to challenging, heartfelt, and boundary-pushing art. Witness a powerful act of artistic defiance that offers hope, honors those we have loved and lost, and reaffirms the enduring strength of the human spirit. Join VALLETO in creating a moment of connection and reflection, a testament to the bonds that persist through time and the memories that continue to shape us.

Please join VALLETO for a 10th Anniversary pre-show celebration at CPR starting at 6:30 P.M. each night of the performance.

ABOUT VALLETO

Defying systems of oppression, VALLETO creates thought-provoking contemporary dance theater works that tackle themes that are relatable to every human. Founded in 2014 in New York. VALLETO aims to redefine the very essence of dance, showcasing its capacity to connect, inspire, and disrupt. VALLETO is led by Mexican-American choreographer Valeria Y. Gonzalez. Her personal experiences growing up in a "machista" country and her inquiry into justice, gender equality, freedom of expression, sexism, and diversity were crucial to founding VALLETO and subsequently creating a platform for dance artists to express themselves freely. VALLETO encompasses three key branches: Our Company, our biennial intensives, and the Heal project.

VALLETO, based in New York, is a community of strong, curious, and ambitious women and non-binary individuals redefining the contemporary dance world. We are the architects of our own destiny, crafting our future through our own choices and actions. We believe in building authentic and enduring relationships based on mutual respect and understanding. We refuse to be bound by the limitations of societal norms or expectations as we forge our own path toward success and fulfillment. We embrace diversity and inclusivity, recognizing that our differences make us stronger and more resilient. Together, we create a community that is supportive and empowering. We aim to transform our communities through our art, inspire audiences, and challenge patriarchal systems through movement. We are unapologetic in our beliefs and values.

Mission
– Inspiration, connection, and empowerment through a safe and welcoming environment for dance artists
– Create compelling work for our audiences. Work that challenges systems of oppression and work that spark emotional responses.
– Womens’ and nonbinary liberation and visibility.

Vision
VALLETO imagines a world transformed by dance, where innovation, creativity, and diversity initiate a new wave of progressive expression. Committed to accessibility, we provide a global platform that empowers dancers worldwide to excel and connect. We envision dance as a vital catalyst for healing, connecting, and evolving, continually sharing this transformative power with the world. By giving voice to the voiceless and making space for those who don't fit in other places, we embrace inclusivity at every step.
